Ernst Wanner
Ernst Wanner (born January 4, 1917 in Stuttgart , † November 20, 2002 in Aalen ) was a German painter. In addition to dealing with religious topics, he also intervened in current social and political discussions with his pictures, for example with topics such as "My stomach belongs to me", "In the crosshairs" (terrorism) or "Rape in Bosnia".
Life
After graduating from high school in 1936, he studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Speigel, Mayerhofer and Kißling and at the Academy for Graphic Arts and Book Industry (today: University of Graphic and Book Art ) in Leipzig with Kolb. Panel painting , art in construction , graphics were the focus of his artistic work.
