Eromosele Albert (born May 27, 1974 in Benin City ) is a former Nigerian professional boxer .

Amateur career

As an amateur, Albert won the gold medal in the light flyweight division at the 1991 Military World Championships in Germany , the silver medal in the welterweight division at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Canada and the silver medal in the middleweight division at the 1999 African Games in South Africa .

At the 1996 Olympic Games and the 2000 Olympic Games , he was eliminated in the first fight.

Professional career

For his professional career he moved to the USA and lived in Miami . From 2001 to 2007 he played 22 fights with 21 wins, where he could beat Nurhan Süleymanoğlu and Luis Ramón Campas , among others . In May 2008 he lost the fight for the NABO title in the first round against James Kirkland .

In August 2009 he lost on points against Saurbek Bajsangurow . In 2011 he ended his career after two more losses to Daniel Geale and Sam Soliman . The fight against Geale was about the IBF world title in the middleweight division.
