Ervedal is a village and former parish ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Oliveira do Hospital . On June 30, 2011 the community had 929 inhabitants on an area of 21.8 km².
In the course of the local reorganization of Portugal after the local elections on September 29, 2013, the municipality of Ervedal was merged with Vila Franca da Beira to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Ervedal e Vila Franca da Beira . Ervedal became the seat of the new community.
