Ervidel is a municipality ( freguesia ) in Portugal and belongs to the district of Aljustrel , with an area of 38.9 km² and 1005 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). This results in a population density of 25.9 inh / km². The place is located at the dam of Barragem do Roxo , which receives its water from the tributaries of the Rio Sado . The community is dominated by agriculture (wine, olives, cattle breeding and timber industry). In Ervidel there is a branch of the Aljustrel Museum in the building of the agricultural school.
