Erwin Bläske

Erwin Bläske (born August 29, 1930 in Roggosen ; † January 5, 1991 ) was a German pilot. In 1968 he became individual and team world champion in motor aerobatics .

Life

Bläske trained on the GST - airfield Cottbus / Neuhausen . As a member of the GDR national team, he was able to achieve his first international success in 1964 at the world championships in Bilbao with third place in the team classification. In 1966 he reached third place in the team ranking at the motor aerobatic world championships in Tuschino together with Günter Börner, Peter Kahle, Dieter Kapphahn and Heinz Hübler. At the Aerobatic World Cup in 1968 in Magdeburg , Bläske won the individual title on a Zlín Z-526A and, together with Peter Kahle and Dieter Kapphahn, also the team title.

Bläske demonstrated his aerobatics on numerous flying days. His mirror flight with Heinz Richter at a distance of 5 meters, which served as a template for a stamp motif for Deutsche Post in 1968, was particularly well known.

Erwin Bläske was for many years director of the Finsterwalde glider airfield.
