Erwin Carigiet

Erwin Carigiet [ kariˈdʒ (j) ɛt ] (born March 5, 1955 in Zurich ) is a Swiss social lawyer .

From 2001 to 2008 he was president of the Swiss Association for Social Policy (SSPA) founded in 1926 (on the board since 1996). Erwin Carigiet helped to build up the postgraduate degree in "Social Insurance Management" (new: MAS Social Insurance Management) at the Lucerne School of Economics and taught the field of "Law" from 1998 to 2003. He has been a member of the university's specialist council since 2007. Erwin Carigiet has been giving lectures and lectures since 2003. a. at the University of Freiburg i. Ue. and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences on topics of social policy , especially social security .

Erwin Carigiet is one of the prominent representatives of the current Swiss social reform discussion with his publications (including co-editors of the “Dictionary of Social Policy”, “Prosperity through Justice, Germany and Switzerland in a Socio-Political Comparison”). He advocates “social equilibrium” and “basic security based on equity,” similar to Michael Opielka in Germany or Peter Lindert in the USA. In addition, like the Advisory Council on the Assessment of Developments in the Health Care System in its 2007 report, it calls for the health system to be further developed in the direction of integrated health systems .
