Erwin Emmerling

Erwin Emmerling (* 1952 in Würzburg ) is a German restorer .

Life

He studied restoration at the Institute for Painting Technology ( Rolf E. Straub ) at the Stuttgart Art Academy . He was active in the preservation of monuments . He then worked in a leading position in the restoration workshops of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation in Munich . From 1998 to 2018 he taught as a full professor at the Chair for Restoration, Art Technology and Conservation Science at the Technical University of Munich .
