Erwin Hürlimann

Erwin Hürlimann (born April 5, 1880 in Ottenbach ; † 1968 ) was a Swiss manager. He was General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Reinsurance Company .

Career

He joined the management of the Swiss Reinsurance Company in 1904 and succeeded Charles Simon as General Director in 1919, who also became Chairman of the Board of Directors. From 1930 to 1966 Hürlimann was a member of the Board of Directors , which he also chaired from 1942 to 1958. After his retirement in 1958 he was made honorary president.

Private

From 1930 to 1933 he had Freudenberg Castle built near Rotkreuz . He was married to Eleanor Hürlimann, born Ridge.
