Erwin Lingk

Erwin Lingk (born September 24, 1920 in Lehntal , Angerapp district; † May 10, 1979 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Erwin Lingk grew up in East Prussia , attended elementary school, learned the trade of a fitter and, after retraining, became an administrative clerk .

After the end of the Second World War he came to Schleswig-Holstein . In 1947 he joined the SPD. From 1950 to 1958 he was a member of the City Council of Rendsburg and Senator . From 1958 he lived in Flensburg , where he was also a member of the city council and department head for youth and social affairs. In particular, he advocated housing homeless families. Lingk and the town planning officer Walter Baumgarten were the first citizens of Flensburg to visit Carlisle in 1961 and to initiate the twinning with the English city. In 1962 Lingk took over the chairmanship of the social and youth committee of the German Association of Cities in Schleswig-Holstein, from 1967 he was a member of the Federal Social Committee of the German Association of Cities.

In 1954 Lingk was elected to the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein in the regional constituency of Rendsburg-Nord , to which he initially belonged until 1958. In 1962 he moved into the state parliament via the SPD state list, again in 1967. He was a member of the state parliament until 1971. Among other things, he was a member of the committee for youth issues, for people's welfare, for election examinations, for safeguarding the rights of the people's representation as well as a member of the interior committee and the special committee for regional reform. In 1954 he took part in the 2nd Federal Assembly.

Lingk was married and had three children.
