Erwin Marcus
Erwin Marcus (born May 21, 1925 in Hamburg ; † February 17, 2010 there ) was a German lawyer and radio presenter .
Marcus was drafted into the parachute troop in 1943 and was taken prisoner by the English after the end of the Second World War . On his return he began to study law, which he finished in 1952 with a doctorate on "Voluntary Public Education". He then became a judge in his hometown of Hamburg. Most recently as Vice President of the State Labor Court, he resigned from the Hamburg judicial service in 1987. Marcus' grave is in the Nienstedten cemetery in Hamburg.
