Erwin Selck

Erwin Selck (born October 6, 1876 in Preetz , † 1946 in Korntal ) was a German manager and board member of IG Farben-Industrie AG .

Life

Selck studied law and political science at the Hessian Ludwigs University , the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Philipps-Universität Marburg . He was a member of the Corps Starkenburgia (1896) and the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg (1897). In 1911 he joined the color works Leopold Cassella & Co. in Frankfurt am Main . There he became an authorized signatory and director in 1919 . When the company was transferred to IG Farben , Selck became a member of the board from 1926 to 1936 .

Selck was also a member of the supervisory board of the Portland-Cementwerke Heidelberg-Mannheim-Stuttgart and a board member and treasurer of the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . In 1933 Selck became a member of the NSDAP (membership number 1.660.570) and a member of the SS (membership number 180.147) with the rank of SS Untersturmführer .

He died on January 9, 1946 after internment in the Allied internment camp Kornberg in Lohr am Main.
