Erwin Spinnler (born April 11, 1947 ) is a former German soccer player .

career

After attending elementary school in the Mönchengladbach district of Eicken and training as a master painter , he played at Borussia Mönchengladbach since the F-youth . After Borussia was promoted to the Bundesliga , he was appointed A youth player in the professional squad. He played from 1965 to 1970 in the Bundesliga for Borussia Mönchengladbach and in the 1970/71 season for Kickers Offenbach , together with the former Borussians Winfried Schäfer , Erwin and Helmut Kremers and Johnny Winkler . He was German champion with Borussia in the 1970 season . A ruptured cruciate ligament that Spinnler suffered during a friendly game ended his professional career. He then played in the higher amateur classes at VfL Benrath , VfR Neuss and 1. FC Viersen, among others . After his football career, he took over his father's painting business.
