Erwin Stenzel (born June 28, 1921 in Stuttgart ; † March 20, 2017 in Bielefeld ) was a German neurologist and epileptologist .

Life

After studying human medicine in Halle, Berlin and Freiburg with state examinations in 1947 - which was interrupted several times by war missions in Russia and Italy as well as by an injury - Stenzel was from 1948 an assistant at the University Psychiatric Clinic Freiburg with a focus on neurology (with Richard Jung ), where he later built up the neuroradiology department.

From 1955 he was a senior physician in Bethel-Bielefeld (with Rudolf Dreyer ), a. a. with a neuroradiological focus in the "admission clinic".
