The house at Erzbergerstraße 13 is a listed building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located on the southeast side of Erzbergerstraße opposite the confluence of Zschokkestraße in Magdeburg's old town . To the south of the rear of the building is the Max-Otten-Straße city wall .

Architecture and history

The four and a half story building was erected in 1897. The plastered neo-baroque building was built for the reindeer and building contractor Carl Hinze . Two short side wings were added to the rear of the representatively designed building. The facade of the house has rustication on the ground floor and the first floor . There is a horizontal division of the facade by means of profiled cornices and plaster grooves . The windows are designed as segment and arched windows. The gable windows are curved and have window canopies made from cartouches. In the mezzanine floor small were very arched windows inserted. The appearance of the facade is largely shaped by the box oriel arranged in the middle of the first and second floors . There are vases, balusters and a diamond coating as decorations . In the vertical extension of the bay there is a flat central risalit , which is decorated with stucco.

The house is an example of a founder temporal Mietswohnhaus high class. In its vicinity were originally the western works of the Magdeburg Fortress , of which the remains of the Halberstadt bastion and the shot parade ground have been preserved .

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed under registration number 094 17405 as a monument .
