It started at midnight (original title: Çirkin Dünya ) is a Turkish crime film from 1975. Osman F. Seden directed Hülya Koçyiğit in the lead role . action

Three brutal criminals break into a house and terrorize the couple who live there. Doctor Oliver and his wife Selma are humiliated in many ways by Scorpio, Dave and Teddy, and their child is endangered. The intruders on the run from the police can only be induced to give up their activities for a short time by promising a large amount of money. While the doctor and Scorpio go to the bank, those who stay behind kill the child and rape Selma. Oliver wants revenge and finds the criminals at their meeting point, but is killed. Selma, who is slipping more and more into neglect, shoots Scorpion and Dave when they are released from prison.

criticism

From a conventional point of view none of the critics can win anything from the “trash”, which is celebrated among trash film fans: “Whoever managed the feat of capturing this noble exploiter on celluloid belongs to my deepest admiration,” says smug genre expert Michael Cholewa.

Remarks
