Eschach is a hamlet in the municipality of Aichstetten in the Ravensburg district in Baden-Württemberg . As part of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg , Eschach was incorporated into Aichstetten on July 1, 1971 as a district of the former Altmannshofen municipality .
The place is about one and a half kilometers northwest of Aichstetten and can be reached via the district road 7920 .
history
Eschach was first mentioned around 1100 as "Aschacha". After 1300 the place went to the lords of Altmannshofen as a Bavarian fief and was always associated with the Altmannshofen rule from 1368 .
The property of Weingarten Monastery , acquired around 1100, was sold to the Waldburg-Zeil family in 1801 . The desertification took place in 1799.
In 1275 the church and parish of St. George was handed down. In 1422 it was united with the parish of Ausnang , which has been a branch of Altmannshofen since 1824.
