The Esenintoppen ( Norwegian ; Russian Гора Есенина Gora Jessenina ) is a mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Payer group of Hoelfjella, it rises on the south side of Skavlhø .
Russian scholars named it after the Russian poet Sergei Jessenin (1895–1925). Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute translated the Russian name into Norwegian in 1991.
