The Estadio de Mazatlán is a football stadium in the northeast of the city of Mazatlán in the Mexican state of Sinaloa . From the 2020/21 season it will be the home ground of the newly created Mazatlán FC franchise in Liga MX and offers space for around 20,000 to 25,000 visitors.

history

When the plans became concrete to want to maintain a football team in the top Mexican division in the baseball city of Mazatlán in the future , work began in November 2017 on building a stadium suitable for the first division. This was built on Avenida Munich on a hill of Fraccionamiento Pradera Dorada and was completed at the beginning of June 2020. After acquiring the franchise of Monarcas Morelia , which has been represented in the top division for several decades , the newly formed Mazatlán FC will bring top division football to the port city on the Pacific from the 2020/21 season .
