Esther-Beate Körber

Esther-Beate Körber (born December 27, 1957 in Tübingen ) is a German historian of the history of the early modern period.

Life

After studying history, German and pedagogy at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen , she passed the first state examination for teaching at grammar schools in 1982. In 1986 she completed her doctorate with Ernst Walter Zeeden . In 1993 he completed his habilitation in modern history at the Free University of Berlin with a habilitation thesis on "Publicities of the Early Modern Age". She has been an adjunct professor at the Friedrich Meinecke Institute since 2000 . She has represented chairs at the University of Duisburg-Essen , the University of Vechta and the University of Regensburg .

Her main research interests are the early modern period , communication and media history , Prussian history and pamphlet journalism.
