Esther Dilcher

Esther Dilcher (born September 18, 1965 in Hofgeismar ) is a German politician ( SPD ), lawyer and notary . She was elected to the German Bundestag as a direct candidate for the Waldeck constituency on September 24, 2017 .

Career

Esther Dilcher grew up in Hofgeismar. There they made on the Albert Schweitzer School her High School and then studied at the Philipps University in Marburg jurisprudence . Dilcher has been working as a lawyer since 1999, and in 2006 she specialized in family law .

She is a board member of the Kassel-Nordhessen regional association of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund . She is also a member of various social and sporting clubs in Hofgeismar.

Dilcher is married to a lawyer for the second time. From her first marriage she has two daughters and a son.

politics

Esther Dilcher joined the SPD in 1998. She was a city councilor in her hometown of Hofgeismar for 12 years. During this time she held various offices there, including chair of the main and finance committee and deputy mayor of the city council. In 2008 she ran for the office of mayor in Hofgeismar.

In the 19th German Bundestag, Dilcher is a full member of the Committee on Law and Consumer Protection , the Budget Committee and the European Law subcommittee. She is also represented as a deputy member of the election review committee.
