Esther Knorr-Anders

Esther Knorr-Anders (born March 9, 1931 in Königsberg i. Pr. ) Is a German journalist and writer.

Life

Esther Knorr-Anders began writing narrative prose in the 1960s after fleeing East Prussia at the end of the war in the Federal Republic of Germany . Since the 1980s she has mainly been active as a journalist; she writes reports and reviews for Die Zeit , die Welt , the Süddeutsche Zeitung , the Wiesbadener Kurier , the Ostpreußenblatt / Preussische Allgemeine Zeitung and the Junge Freiheit . Knorr-Anders, who lives in Wiesbaden, received, among other things, the radio play and storytelling award of the East German Cultural Council in 1972 , the journalism award of the Freie Wohlfahrtspflege in 1977, the Andreas Gryphius award in 1980 and the Emma journalist award in 1990 .
