Ethniko Metopo ( Greek Εθνικό Μέτωπο 'National Front' ) is a Greek right-wing extremist party . It was founded in 2012 and uses the ancient Greek spiral as its logo.
history
The first efforts to found the party were made in mid-2011. The originally planned founding for the 2012 parliamentary election could not be achieved, the formal founding took place later in the year. The first chairman was Manos Konstas , formerly a member of the Ethniki Politiki Enosis .
A significant number of the members of the National Front had previously worked in nationalist and right-wing extremist parties and organizations such as ENEK, EPEN , the Greek Front , LAOS and Golden Dawn .
Since December 2017, the Greek Patriotic People's Union (LEPEN), a spin-off of the Golden Dawn, has been part of Ethniko Metopo. LEPEN belongs to the European party Alliance for Peace and Freedom .
Positions
The National Front defines itself as a party of Greek nationalism . The main positions of the party are ethnopluralism , referendums on national and social issues, the strengthening of the institution of the President of the Republic , community, conservatism , xenophobia , the development of technologies and the protection of the environment .

The party participated in the 2014 local elections with little success.
In the 2014 European elections , Ethniko Metopo received 8,799 votes (0.15%).
