Ryan Harnden (born June 28, 1986 in Sault Ste. Marie , Ontario ) is a Canadian curler and Olympic champion .

Career

Ryan Harnden qualified with Skip Brad Jacobs' team for the 2013 Men's Curling World Championship in Victoria, Canada . After the team had finished fourth in the Round Robin, the team qualified for the semi-finals, where they met the team from Denmark. There the team prevailed 8: 6 and met in the final against the Swedish team around Skip Niklas Edin , against which they lost 6: 8. The Canadians had to be satisfied with the bronze medal.

The team around Skip Brad Jacobs and thus Ryan Harnden qualified for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . In the round robin, the team took second place and qualified for the semi-finals. In the semifinals you met the Chinese team and were able to defeat them 10: 6. In the final, Ryan Harden and the team met Great Britain around Skip David Murdoch . The Canadians defeated the team from Great Britain 9: 3 and Canada was able to become Olympic champion in men's curling for the third time.
