Gjakova Ethnographic Museum

The Ethnographic Museum Gjakova ( Albanian  Muzeu Etnografik në Gjakovë ) is an ethnography - museum  in the Kosovo  town of Gjakova .

The museum is located in a garden in the city center on the left bank of the Krena River . The typical Ottoman residential building of a wealthy urban family from the 19th century is a national cultural monument of the Republic of Kosovo ( Architecture category ). The two-story house was built by the Sina family in 1810 with storage and pantry rooms on the ground floor and living and representation rooms above, including the large reception room. Over time, modifications were made repeatedly.

Exhibitions are shown in the basement. On the upper floor, in addition to the traditional rooms with rich woodwork, household items, old tools and traditional costumes are shown.
