Eugène Léon Canseliet (born December 18, 1899 in Sarcelles , † April 12, 1982 in Savignies ) was a French alchemist and esoteric writer .

Life

He was a student of Jean Julien Champagne and played a major role in spreading the myth of the legendary French alchemist and writer Fulcanelli , whose real identity has not yet been reliably established.

In the 20th century he was one of the few alchemists. Along with Jean Julien Champagne (1877-1932), Jules Violle (1841-1923), Camille Flammarion (1842-1925) and Hilaire de Chardonnet (1839-1924), Canseliet is considered to be one of the candidates for the true identity of Fulcanelli.
