Status: end of career

Eugène Dadi (born August 20, 1973 in Abidjan , Ivory Coast ) is a former Ivorian football player. He played a total of 122 games in the French Ligue 1 , the Austrian Bundesliga , the Scottish Premier League and the Swiss Super League . He played in the position of the striker.

Career

Start of career

After Dadi spent his youth in the academy of FC Sochaux , he completed his first professional assignments in 1989 at the French club Stade Lavallois . After a stroke of fate with the death of his father in 1992, he paused for two years.

Wandering bird in Europe

After returning to professional sports at LASK Linz , he moved to FC Aberdeen in 2001 . There he only delivered a meager performance, but because of his surname, which the fans used to sing "Who's yer, who's yer, who's yer fuckin 'Dadi." (A common expression in English), he became a crowd favorite.

After 33 games for Aberdeen, he moved via Livingston to the Tranmere Rovers , for which he played over 80 games, which for him is most of the time at one station. Two less successful years followed with Nottingham Forest and Notts County .

Change outside the EU

From 2006 Dadi played at Hapoel Akko in Israel, from which he moved two years later to the A-League at Perth Glory . Here, too, he quickly established himself; the fans copied the Aberdeen fan chants. With Nikita Rukavytsya he formed the most dangerous striker duo in the league. In January he switched to the Liechtenstein club FC Vaduz on loan .

Others

He owns his own fashion label, huge.n , and worked as an actor in Austria for two years.
