Eugène Fichel
Benjamin Eugène Fichel (born August 30, 1826 in Paris , † February 2, 1895 there ) was a French painter .
Fichel was a student of the history painter Paul Delaroche . With his support, he was later able to move to Jean-Louis-Ernest Meissonier's studio .
reception
With his early work, Fichel was still very much in the shadow of his teacher Delaroche. In Meissonier's studio at the latest, however, he had found his own style. His mostly small-format pictures are distinguished in an elegant manner. They were certified to be efficient in execution, fine characteristics and informal composition .
