Eugène Kangulungu (born January 19, 1976 in Zaire ) is a former Congolese football player on the position of a defender . The defender spent most of his career in French amateur football.
Career
Kangulungu began his active football career in 1994 with CS Fontainebleau , who were playing in the fourth-class CFA D4 Group D at that time . In 1995 he left the club after five games to transfer to Le Havre AC , which was located in the top French division, Division 1 . After just one year he went to Red Star Saint-Ouen in the second highest division in France, Division 2 . In 1998 one team left again. This time he was drawn to Noisy-le-Sec to the Olympique Noisy-le-Sec club, which played in the third-class National (D3) . Kangulungu ran for the club in his time from 1998 to 2001 in 85 championship games and scored one goal. In 2001 he moved to league rivals FC Pau . For the soccer club from Pau he completed 23 league games and scored two goals. In 2002 it went to the third division club CS Louhans-Cuiseaux , a syndicate between two neighboring towns in Burgundy southeast of Chalon-sur-Saône in the Saône-et-Loire department . For the sports club he was used in 28 games.
In 2003 he made the acquaintance of football in England when Kangulungu transferred to Plymouth Argyle in the third division of English football, Football League One, on September 19, 2003 . But he was not used by the British and was sent back to France at the end of the year, where he was taken on again by third division club FC Pau. In 2005 he left Pau again and played for a year with Bergerac Foot in the sixth class Division d'Honneur Aquitaine.
In 2006 he joined his former club Red Star Saint-Ouen, which was now relegated to the fourth division, the CFA, Group D. Kangulungu became a regular in the team and ran for the club until the summer of 2008 in 59 games, scoring four goals. Shortly before the start of the 2008/09 season, he switched within the league to ES Viry-Châtillon, for which he was used in 26 matches until the end of the season.
International
2003 was Kangulungu in the national team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo . His first call-up to the national team was for the African Championship qualifier against Swaziland on June 8, 2003. In the 2-0 win, he was on the starting line-up and played 90 minutes.
