Noisy-le-Sec is a French commune with 44,136 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Seine-Saint-Denis (93) in the region of Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bobigny in the canton of Bobigny . The inhabitants are called Noiséens .

location
The city with around 43,400 inhabitants (2015) has merged completely with Paris . It is located in the east of the metropolis around ten kilometers from Notre Dame .
traffic
Noisy-le-Sec is a major public transport hub in the eastern Paris area. Here, two branches of the RER line merge , namely the E2 line from Chelles-Gournay and the E4 line from Tournan and then lead to the city center at Haussmann - Saint-Lazare station . In addition, the tram carries T 1 of Noisy-le-Sec on Bobigny to Saint-Denis .
history
The name of the city is derived from the Latin nucetum (dt. "Walnut forest "). The nickname Le-Sec means “dry” in French and is explained by the poor soil quality of the terrain and the lack of water in the immediate vicinity.
