Eugen Ankelen
Philip Eugen Ankelen (* 1858 in Laupheim ; † 1942 in Tegernsee ) was a German landscape and vedute painter and writer.
Life
Ankelen studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and from May 3, 1878 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Otto Seitz .
After completing his studies, he went on study trips through Europe and then settled in Munich.
Ankelen was a member of the General German Art Cooperative . In addition to painting, he also worked as a writer.
