Eugen Cătălin Baciu (born May 25, 1980 in Vaslui ) is a former Romanian football player . He played a total of 177 games in the Romanian League 1 . In 2005 and 2006 he won the Romanian championship with Steaua Bucharest .

Career

Baciu started his career in Divizia B at Laminorul Roman in the 2000/01 season and moved to FCM Bacau in January 2001 , in the Romanian first division . He made his Divizia A debut in May 2001 at the home game against Gloria Bistrița . In January 2005 he changed clubs again and came to Steaua Bucharest . In the 2010/11 season he came to no use and returned in the summer of 2011 to Bacau, which now played in League II . He ended his career there in 2012.

National team

On April 17, 2002 Baciu played his only game so far for the Romanian national football team against Poland .
