Eugen Wagner (sculptor)
Eugen Wagner (born April 11, 1871 in Berlin ; † around 1942 there ) was a German sculptor .
Life
Wagner studied at the Dresden Academy . He was a member of the Allgemeine Deutsche Kunstgenossenschaft , the Reich Association of German Visual Artists in Berlin and the Munich Secession .
He was best known for his genre figures made of bronze, porcelain ( Schwarzburger Werkstätten ), alabaster, marble and ivory. Wagner's bronzes were often handcrafted by the Gladenbeck fine art foundry in Berlin . He exhibited his work in Berlin, Munich and Düsseldorf, among others. He also designed advertisements and shop window decorations.
