Eugene Wolff

Eugen Wolff (born November 28, 1863 in Frankfurt (Oder) ; † May 25, 1929 in Neubabelsberg ) was a German specialist in German .

Live and act

Wolff is primarily known for popularizing the term “ modernity ” through his essay of the same name from 1886. In the same year he was a co-founder of the literary association “ Through! ". In 1904, Wolff received a professorship at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .

During his studies in 1883 he was a founding member and first speaker of the Neogermania Berlin fraternity . After moving to the University of Leipzig , he founded the Tuiskonia Leipzig fraternity and became a member of the Langobardia Leipzig fraternity .
