Eugene Koffi Adoboli

Eugene Koffi Adoboli (born October 3, 1934 ) was Prime Minister of the State of Togo from May 21, 1999 to August 31, 2000. Before that, he was international civil servant at UNCTAD in Geneva.

Adoboli was defeated on August 24, 2000 in a vote of no confidence in the National Assembly of Togo ; 57 MPs signed the vote, one spoke out against it, and two abstained. Adoboli abdicated on August 27, and President Gnassingbé Eyadéma accepted the resignation. Eyadéma appointed Agbéyomé Messan Kodjo as Adoboli's successor.
