Eugenic Death is an American thrash metal band from Greensboro , North Carolina that was formed in 2010.

history

The band was formed in late 2010 by guitarist Jonathan McCanless. Keith Davis joined the band as a singer, with whom McCanless had previously played in a band. Another member of this band, Shane Lucas, joined the band a short time later as bassist while Ian Pasquini played the drums. After developing the first songs, the demo The Devil Waits was released in 2011 . After the band signed a contract with Heaven and Hell Records , the debut album Crimes Against Humanity followed in 2012 .

style

On their Facebook profile, the band describes the singing of Keith Davis Chuck Billy from Testament and Max Cavalera from Sepultura . Bassist Lucas was heavily influenced by Steve Harris ( Iron Maiden ), while for drummers Pasquini bands like Mastodon , Slayer and Dying Fetus are given as main influences. In terms of sound, the bands compare themselves to groups like Onslaught , Demolition Hammer and bands from the San Francisco Bay Area . Darly Soar from metaltalk.net compared playing the electric guitar with that of Exodus , while the vocals are a mixture of Testament Chuck Billy and Tom Araya (Slayer).
