Eugenio Corini (born July 30, 1970 in Bagnolo Mella ) is a former Italian soccer player and today's soccer coach .

Player career

Corini played in Serie A for Juventus Turin , Sampdoria Genoa , SSC Napoli , Brescia Calcio , FC Piacenza , Hellas Verona , Chievo Verona , US Palermo and FC Turin .

Between 1992 and 2002 Corini was appointed to the Italian national team four times , but was never used. With the U-21 he was under Cesare Maldini in 1992 U-21 European champion .

Success as a player

Coaching career

On October 2, 2012, he succeeded Domenico Di Carlo , who had been relieved of his duties due to the bad start to the season, coach of the Italian first division club Chievo Verona. However, the separation took place at the end of the 2012/13 season . After the dismissal in 2013, a further engagement as a coach of Chievo followed, but this only lasted until 2014. From 2016 to 2017 he coached the US Palermo . From 2017 to 2018 he was the trainer of Novara Calcio .

In 2018 Corini became the head coach of Brescia Calcio . For the season season 2019/20 promotion to the successful Serie A . He was fired in November 2019 and reinstated as head coach in December 2019.
