Euphorbia beillei is a species of the genus spurge ( Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae (Euphorbiaceae).
description
The succulent Euphorbia beillei forms trees up to 8 meters in height, which are spreading . The four-edged and thin branches are up to 8 millimeters thick and have somewhat winged, twisted edges. The inverted triangular thorn shields stand up to 15 millimeters apart. The thorns are 1 to 2 millimeters long. The obovate leaves are up to 20 centimeters long and 8 centimeters wide. They stand on a stem up to 2.5 centimeters long.
The inflorescence consists of one to three cymes . Nothing is known about the cyathia , the fruits, and the seeds.
Distribution and systematics
Euphorbia beillei is common in Chad .
The species was first described in 1933 by Auguste Jean Baptiste Chevalier . A synonym for Euphorbia beillei is Elaeophorbia beillei (A.Chev.) H. Jacobsen (1960).
The species is possibly synonymous with Euphorbia teke .
