description
The succulent Euphorbia brunellii grows geophytically with a tuberous root that is about 3 centimeters long and 2 centimeters wide. A tapered trunk is formed above the root. This is patterned through the leaf scars and is about 3 centimeters long and 1 centimeter thick. The above-ground leaves are spread out and elongated. They stand on a 2.5 centimeter long stem and are up to 5.5 centimeters long and 3.5 centimeters wide.
The flowers appear before the leaves shoot. The inflorescence consists of cymes that are bifurcated two to four times or more. They stand on stems up to 2 centimeters long. The egg-shaped bracts are pink and 3 millimeters long and 2 millimeters wide. The 3 millimeter long cyathia have four elliptical nectar glands and one nectar gland, which is divided into approximately circular halves. These glands are all individually and are brownish in color. The bluntly lobed fruit is about 3 millimeters in size and stands on a stalk that is up to 5 millimeters long and bent back. The egg-shaped seed is about 1.5 millimeters in size and is covered with warts.
