Construction on the Eureka Tower began in 2001 and was completed in 2006. On the 88th floor at a height of 285 meters there is a viewing platform with public areas and restaurants. It can be reached with the fastest elevators in the southern hemisphere , which have a speed of over 9 m / s and only need 40 seconds for the 88 floors. It has a total of 92 floors, 3,680 steps and 52,000 square meters of glass windows.
