Eurocampus German School on Mallorca is a German primary and secondary school in Palma , the capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca .
It is a private school sponsored by the German-Spanish school association founded in 2000 on Mallorca. It started school operations at the beginning of the 2002/03 school year with 19 students from the four primary school years in the village of Arenal. A year later she moved to the Swedish school building in Palma. Since 2004, the school building has been expanded several times by the German school. Since 2008, all grades from 1 to 10 have been available, mainly teaching in two grades overarching learning groups. In the 2008/2009 school year the school had 92 students. With the school year 2016, the school moved back to its first location on the grounds of "La Porciúncula".
After four years of primary school, this school is followed by a two-year orientation level, after which the pupils from the seventh to the tenth school year are taught internally at the levels of grammar school or secondary school. At the end of the tenth school year, the secondary school certificate or the authorization to attend the qualification phase of the upper secondary school level can be acquired. Since 2009, the school has been allowed to take part in the central final exams of the Conference of Ministers of Education for German schools abroad .
As foreign languages are Spanish , Catalan and English from the first grade and French taught from the seventh year. There is homework support for students in the first six years of school.
There is a cooperation with the German School Barcelona , especially in the area of final exams.
Attending the school costs a monthly tuition fee for the months from September to June.
