The Eurochor is a Christian youth choir made up of young people from many European nations. Mainly its members come from Germany, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Romania and Belgium. It was founded at the beginning of 1999 as part of an inter-European youth conference of the free church community Kwasizabantu in Les Genêts d'Or (France). The aim is to spread the gospel in a musical way. The repertoire consists of sacred songs that are performed in English, German, French or Russian, among others. The choir's Christmas concerts are particularly well known.
In addition to other cities, the choir has performed in Geneva , Basel , St. Gallen , Strasbourg , Paris , Valence , Ludwigsburg , Darmstadt , Gouda , Johannesburg , Durban and Norwich .
The singers are led by the Swiss pianist and conductor Daniel Kalisky. He is supported by the German pianist Armin Neufeld. Michel Hégé is responsible for the organization . The choir directors and most of the young people are close to the Kwasizabantu organization .
