The Eastern European Scholarship is a scholarship program of the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst for the promotion of students from member states and accession countries of the EU , especially from Eastern European countries. The study of all subjects and disciplines at technical colleges and universities in Germany is funded .

The formal requirements are demonstrably good German language skills and membership of a Protestant church , although a special application is possible in the event of non-membership. In addition, volunteer work and professional qualifications are used as criteria for admission.

Admission to funding after the fourth semester , for second degree courses or exclusively for master’s degree courses is not possible.

Funding takes place without a trial period and for the entire duration of the study. The financial support includes up to 597 €, depending on the income of the scholarship holder and his / her parents, and 300 € study fee per month. Other services such as stays abroad and internships are also funded. The scholarship also includes non-material support, including individual support, an interdisciplinary educational program and the opportunity to participate in the student body.
