European Society of Criminology

The European Society of Criminology (esc) is a European society for criminology founded in 2000 . The aim of the company is to bring people who are actively involved in criminological research, teaching or practice together. Since 2001 the esc has held annual conferences at changing locations, the 2017 one in Cardiff . Since 2007, the society has awarded a European Criminology Prize and a prize for young criminologists every year. Esc has published the European Journal of Criminology since 2001 . The current president of the society is Gorazd Meško ( University of Maribor , Slovenia ) (2017/18), the founding president was Martin Killias ( University of Zurich ) in 2000/2001 .
