Eusebius (martyr)
Eusebius († 192 in Rome ) was a Christian martyr and saint of the early Church.
According to the Martyrologium Romanum , Eusebius preached the Christian faith together with his companions Po (te) ntianus, Vincentius and Peregrinus in Rome and also converted the Senator Julius of Rome . The four Christians were then captured and tortured. Eusebius's tongue was cut out; however, he did not cease to praise God until he and his companions were slain and martyred.

In art, Eusebius is represented with the attribute club and speaking without a tongue.
Eusebius and his three companions are venerated as saints. Her feast day is August 25th .
