Eva Kunz (born April 9, 1947 in Chemnitz ) is a former German politician ( SDP , SPD ).

Eva Kunz is the daughter of a librarian and a bookseller. She graduated from high school in 1965 and studied library science and psychology at the Humboldt University in Berlin . She became a research assistant at the Humboldt University, where she worked in the methodological center for academic libraries. From 1983 to 1989 she was church master at the French Friedrichstadtkirche in Berlin-Mitte .

With the change in the GDR Kunz joined the Social Democratic Party in the GDR (SDP) in November 1989 . In the Volkskammer election in March 1990 she was elected in constituency 1 (Berlin). But on June 2, 1990, she resigned her mandate in the People's Chamber, as she was appointed city councilor for gender equality issues in the Schwierzina magistrate . From 1991 onwards, Kunz was head of department under Regine Hildebrandt in the Brandenburg Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Women.
