Eva Liebau

Eva Liebau (* in Munich ) is an Austrian opera singer with a soprano voice .

Eva Liebau began her musical training while she was still at school at the Carinthian State Conservatory in Klagenfurt and then graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (graduated in 2003 with distinction). At the same time as her diploma thesis she won the Hans Gabor Belvedere singing competition , which was rewarded with a 5-year contract as an ensemble member at the Zurich Opera House .

Since the beginning of the 2004/05 season she has been a member of the ensemble at the Zurich Opera House , where she can be heard in roles such as Papagena in Die Zauberflöte , Yniold in Pelléas et Mélisande , Fortuna / Damigella in L'incoronazione di Poppea , Nuri in Tiefland , Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro , Gretel in Hansel and Gretel , Adele in Die Fledermaus and Ninetta in La finta semplice . In 2005 she performed with the Styriarte (Mercedes in Carmen , Klärchen in Egmont ); In 2006 she sang the role of Barbarina in Mozart's Figaro at the Salzburg Festival under Nikolaus Harnoncourt - a production that was documented on CD and DVD. Another invitation to the festival took place in 2008 as a kitchen boy in Dvořák's Rusalka . In 2007 Eva Liebau made her debut at the Komische Oper Berlin in the role of Pamina from Mozart's Magic Flute.
