Eva Liljeblom

Eva Helena Maria Liljeblom , (born January 4, 1958 in Oulu ) is a Finnish economist and university professor .

Career, research and teaching

Liljeblom studied at the Swedish Business School , also known as Hanken . In 1981 she graduated with a Master of Science degree in economics, and in 1984 she received her licentiate from the university . She then taught at the university, where she completed her Ph.D. Degree. From 1988 she was employed as an assistant professor , in 1990 she went to Sweden in the same position and worked for two years at the Stockholm School of Commerce . After returning to the Swedish Business School as a full professor in August 1992, she took over the management of the economics department only a short time later, in January 1993. She held this position until the end of 2009 before she was appointed rector of the university. From the summer of 2010 she took charge of the entire university for five years, and since August 2015 she has been working as a full professor again.

Liljeblom's work focuses on finance , with a focus on issues from the areas of corporate governance , corporate finance and risk management .

Liljeblom was involved in various economic associations. She also sat on the supervisory boards of various companies , such as Stockmann and Telia Company .
