Eva Maria Gattringer (born March 5, 1959 in Linz ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 2009 to 2015 she was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag .

education and profession

Gattringer attended the Ottensheim elementary school from 1965 to 1969 and then from 1969 to 1973 the lower level of the branch of the Khevenhüllergymnasium (today Peuerbach-Gymnasium) in Linz. Then she completed the Federal Training Institute for Kindergarten Pedagogy in Honauerstraße in Linz by 1977 and trained as a kindergarten and after-school teacher. Gattringer was from 1978 to 1980 a day care teacher at the Linz School Sisters and then worked until 1984 as a pedagogical specialist in the advanced training institute for kindergarten and day care centers. After a time as a housewife, she returned to work in 1990 and was employed as a substitute in kindergartens until 1994. From 1994 to 1998 she was the head of a kindergarten and after-school care center in Walding and between 1999 and 2000 she trained as a qualified specialist for gifted children at the University of Nijmegen (Netherlands). Gattringer then attended a coaching course at Wifi Upper Austria and was on the management team of the Talente Foundation from 2000 to 2005. In addition, from 2001 to 2005 she worked as an independent teacher and coach for gifted kindergarten children. Gattringer was president of the regional association of parents' associations at higher and middle schools in Upper Austria from 2004 to 2009.

politics

Gattringer was deputy country manager from 2004 and country manager from 2005 to 2015, from 2006 also district manager of Urfahr-Umgebung of the ÖVP women and from 2008 deputy chairwoman of the Austrian Family Federation . In her youth she held the function of secretary of the Young People's Party in Ottensheim from 1979 to 1981, and in 2003 she became a local councilor in Walding. She was also elected to the community board in 2006 and has also been the deputy district party leader of the ÖVP Urfahr-Umgebung since 2008. On October 23, 2009 Gattringer was sworn in as a member of the state parliament.

Private

Gattringer is widowed and has two sons (* 1984 and 1987) and a daughter (* 1987). She lives in Walding.
