Eva Stort

Eva Stort (born February 1, 1855 in Berlin ; † January 31, 1936 there ) was a German landscape painter and graphic artist .

Life

Eva Stort studied with Jakob at the art school and the teaching facility of the Royal Museum of Applied Arts in Berlin . She was a student of Karl Stauffer-Bern and Max Liebermann , and among other things chairwoman of the women's art association and a member of the Reich Association of German Artists . Eva Stort was a member of the German Association of Artists . She was also a member of the Association of Berlin Women Artists from 1884 to 1930 .

She sent the major Berlin art exhibitions and the secession exhibitions . Eva Stort worked in Berlin and at times in Ahrenshoop . Here she was one of the first painters around 1882. She also worked as a teacher, so the painter Charlotte Berend-Corinth was one of her students around 1900.
