Eva Tichy

Eva Tichy (* 1951 in Marburg ) is a German Indo-Europeanist .

Life

After graduating as Dr. phil. in Erlangen in 1981 and habilitation at the University of Marburg in 1989, she became professor for Indo-European studies in Freiburg im Breisgau ( retired since March 2017).

Her fields of work are Indo-European linguistics, especially: Indo-Iranian studies: morphology and syntax of Vedic and Avestic, historical grammar of Greek, especially the language of Homer , syntax and morphology of the Indo-European verb, especially aspect, type of action, modes and nominal morphology: flexion types and their functional differentiation, internal derivation.
